Why are you doing this?

The first question I was asked on my entrepreneurial journey was why I wanted to be an entrepreneur. My response for the first three months were because I didn’t want to work for anyone else. I realized that I had to come up with a more concrete answer. Searching for that answer began to pave the way.

The first question I ask my nonprofit clients are why are you doing this? 80% of them glare at me like a deer in headlights. I revert to statistics. 1.5 million nonprofit in the United States exist, your why should make you stand out amongst the crowd. Are you willing to share your why with the world?

If you’re interested in starting a nonprofit, I can provide you with a questionnaire to help elevate the “Why” jitters!
